Anthony Wylie

Dr. Anthony W. Wylie has been Director General of Fundación Chile since 1986.  He is an Agricultural Engineer graduated from the Catholic University of Chile; M.Sc. in Horticulture and Ph.D. in Plant Physiology, University of California, Davis, California. Full-time member of the teaching staff at the Catholic University’s School of Agriculture between 1965 - 1974.  Dean of this same unit from 1970 to 1972.  Also professor of Post-Harvest Physiology of Fruits, at the School of Agriculture, University of Chile.  He served as Technical Manager and General Manager of Coofrucen Ltd., a grower cooperative working in fresh and dried fruit processing and export. Dr. Wylie has published several technical papers on fruit production and post-harvesting technology in Chilean and American trade and university publications.  Dr. Anthony W. Wylie joined Fundación Chile in 1979 as Director of the Food Technology Department.  In 1981 he was appointed member of the Board of directors of Fundación Chile as ITT representative.  In 1984 he was appointed Deputy Director General.  Dr. Wylie has lectured on fruit culture, post-harvest handling, export markets and management of technology transfer activities in national and international seminars.
