Exploring Options for Making Progress on
Agricultural Market Access and Domestic Support
Glion, Switzerland
January 21-23, 2007
The Doha Round negotiations, suspended in July 2006, may resume in early 2007. There are a number of outstanding issues in the agricultural negotiations, particularly in the market access and domestic support pillars, which require solutions for the Round to come to a successful conclusion. The International Food & Agricultural Trade Policy Council (IPC) and the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) explored a range of possible solutions in this private meeting, which may prove useful for negotiators once a green light to resume trade talks is given.
