IPC Session at the 2010 WTO Public Forum:
Clarifying WTO Rules for Biofuels
Geneva, Switzerland
September 17, 2010
The use of biofuels derived from agricultural feedstock has increased exponentially in the last few years. Trade flows have started to increase and are expected to increase further. As the biofuels sector is subject to a number of government measures (mandates, subsidies, tariffs and standards), questions relating to the impact of such measures on international trade are being raised along with calls for greater transparency.
