This seminar allowed IPC members and guest speakers analyze political, scientific, and international approaches to balancing agriculture and environmental concerns. The IPC said it was normal for interests of agriculture and the environment to conflict, and agreed that technological and scientific processes must remain compatible with the protection of the environment.
